About the Teamsters

Together, we have successfully chosen to form our union with the 1.4-million-member International Brotherhood of Teamsters. WE will remain steadfast and strong in our beliefs that achieving real change in our workplace comes only with building a solid foundation. WE will continue, in unity, to work daily to achieve our ultimate goal of performing our duties under a Teamster contract. WE will tackle challenges together as one and we will win through our alliance and reliance on each other. As Teamsters, WE win. And, as Teamsters, we will be reaching out to our UAL brothers and sisters to build unity between our groups as the merger moves forward.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, with 1.4 million members, is one of the largest labor unions in the world and the most powerful transportation union in North America. It is also the most diverse union in the U.S.

The Teamsters represent more than 64,000 workers in the airline industry, including 7,500 fleet service workers and 3,600 mechanics at CAL, and more than 4,700 mechanics at United. The Airline Division is growing in strength under the leadership of Capt. David Bourne.
